Nekton Calcium Plus

NEKTON-Calcium-Plus is a calcium and magnesium supplement for birds, especially useful during breeding and egg production. It contains organic calcium, magnesium, and vitamins B1 and B6. The calcium supports eggshell formation, bone development, and helps address calcium deficiency. 

How to use it

According to NEKTON’s current instructions:

• Normal supplementation: 4 g = 4 level scoops every 2–3 days
• Before and during breeding: 8 g = 8 level scoops daily
• For a confirmed calcium deficiency: 12 g = 12 level scoops daily 

Mixing:
Dissolve the recommended amount in 250 mL (about 8.5 oz) of drinking water, or mix it into 100 g of soft food. 

For your canaries, goldfinches and finches

If you’re using it specifically for breeding females or birds preparing for breeding, the manufacturer’s 8 g per 250 mL daily recommendation is the relevant one. NEKTON says Calcium-Plus is intended particularly for breeding and calcium deficiency, rather than as a year-round mineral supplement. 

Important: Don’t increase the dose beyond the manufacturer’s recommendation unless an avian veterinarian directs you to. Also, don’t combine several calcium-containing supplements at the same time without checking the total calcium intake.
